3: Teacher camp

It started like it does every year.  Greeting each other, swapping summer adventures.  Sharing ideas for the new school year.  Then we'd always play group games at night.  But this year ended different.  It would be the death of me.

I put my Pontiac in park somewhere outside Wilburn.  I was running late, so the other cars told me I was at the right woods.  The sun was starting to rest behind the trees, with a small pillar of smoke rising to blanket it's light.  I knew all the other teachers would be around the campfire.  When I arrived, our princi-pal Zulz had a guitar in his hand, and was strumming away Population 1200.  My group saved my spot- the other class sponsors.  I sat in-between Lennon and Hudson.  Lennon was a cool dude, But Hudson...  I  really liked Hudson.  But she's a coworker, so it'd never work out.  Besides, how could I be the light in a girls world when she embraces darkness.  But that's what happens when a science teacher falls for an emo English major.  Devlin came over and handed me our groups annual T-shirt.  I didn't vote for the design, but only Lennon supported the "Vote For Lenndo".  It was a star wars reference, among another movie.

Zulz stopped singing, and stood up, Panic all over his face.  Other teachers stood up too, but with an oppisite look.  A new man appeared from the darkness, with Shupp behind his shoulder.  "The great Zulz, left vulnerable." the man said. "perhaps it's time for a new principal..."

Shots rang out, and people started to drop.

Zulz even pulled out a glock.

I grabbed Hudsons arm, and ran into the forest.  I noticed Lennon runnung with Devlin.  We all got separated.

It must have been my week basketball skills, but I tripped over myself and rolled down the hill.  Hudson Disappearing from view.  And it kept getting darker.  Absolute mutny.  How could this happen?  I sat up and started to think.  I looked in one direction, and took off.  Hoping to run into someone.  anyone.

I heard a voice.  It was in a panic!  I tried to sneak my way over there.  Finally I got behind a tree, and could see Devlins back.  She bent over, reached over a vague cliff to a ravine.  Then Lennons head popped up, just before the earth under his hand gave out.  He was hanging on by a thread, legs dangling over death.  Devlin Grabbed his hand, becoming his sole support.  "Thank you Emma!" Lennon was crying.

"There's no more room on the bus..." Devlin said, as she let go of his hand and sent him screaming down to his death.  A hand gently patted my shoulder as I let out a quite gasp.

Thank god it was Hudson.  She looked me straight in the eyes and wispered "It's ok Fahs."  I was breaking down.  I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.  A sharp pain pierced my back.  "you should have sold more         "  then the world was as dark as my chemical romance.
